WFC Sections
Apparatus & Equipment - The purpose of this Section is to promote standardization of fire apparatus and equipment preventative maintenance; to improve safety standards and practices; and to promote cost savings through standardization of building and equipment purchasing and maintenance.
Emergency Medical Services - Our goal is to further the professional advancement of the EMS Section of fire service through support and encouragement of pre-hospital emergency medical services, thereby relieving human trauma or illness. To promote standard medical protocols and record keeping systems consistent with fire-oriented based and advanced life support providers; and to provide technical and managerial information on systems development and management.
Fire Administrative Support - The goal of this Section shall be to further enhance the education of all secretaries of the fire service by conducting workshops and seminars; to increase the proficiency of the fire service secretaries by establishing a network for sharing of information system through various channels of communication; and to facilitate a statewide standardization wherever possible in all phases and aspects of the fire service secretaries' field for the benefit of the fire service.
Fire Officers - The purpose of the Section shall be to support and uphold the articulated and adopted Mission Statement and Association Goals as they strategically relate to Fire Officer development and advancement.
Hazardous Materials/Special Operations - The goal of this Section is to further the professional advancement of the Hazardous Materials & Special Operations Section through training, communications, resource sharing and providing clearing house information and leadership to respond effectively in the mitigation of hazardous material incidents.
Information Technology - The Information Technology Section is a forum for reviewing, evaluating, and recommending strategies, plans, policies and best practices for the Washington Fire Chiefs.
Public Fire Educators - The purpose of the fire education section is to reduce, through public fire safety education, the loss of life and property caused by fire; and to promote further training of those involved in fire and life safety education, enabling them to design and deliver messages to their communities with a high degree of professionalism.
Training & Safety Officers - The purpose of this Section shall be to promote uniform training practices throughout the state; to upgrade fire department training and training personnel within the fire departments of the State of Washington; to exchange information and training aids; to promote and assist in the development of fire service performance standards; and to promote safety practices in all phases of fire department activities; to seek uniformity in all fire service and fire related college curriculums.
